About Wetlands America Magazine
Ducks Unlimited and its land trust, Wetlands America Trust (WAT), are pleased to announce the launch of a new magazine, Wetlands America.
This annual publication promotes the continental conservation mission and achievements of WAT and DU's affiliates in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. In-depth feature articles highlight how these organizations work together to make a difference for wildlife and people across North America. We also share the inspiring stories of key supporters who are conserving crucial habitats in innovative ways on diverse landscapes. Every page is illustrated with stunning photography of natural habitats and wildlife, and visually appealing graphics provide information in a concise and reader-friendly way.
In the inaugural issue, we introduce you to DU's indigenous partners in the Boreal Forest of Canada, whose scope of time in harmony with the land and water far precedes our own short stay here. You'll also meet farmers and ranchers who are implementing new methods of production that are good for nature and their bottom line. Our scientists will take you deeper into their field work on the interconnectivity of ecosystems and the lengths they go to get the job done from the Arctic Circle to the mangroves of Mexico's Yucatán. And we celebrate the rebound in some species of waterfowl while sounding the alarm on the collapse of the broader bird population. If you are passionate about wetlands and wildlife and are curious about how you can help conserve our precious natural resources, this magazine is for you.
Wetlands America complements the award-winning Ducks Unlimited magazine as an exciting new benefit for DU sponsors and volunteer leaders, who receive printed copies in the mail. All DU members and the public can read a free digital version of the magazine on this website. Wetlands America is sponsored by Nestlé Purina PetCare, First National Bank of Omaha, Axalta Coating Systems, Bass Pro Shops, and other corporate supporters.
